It has been tooooooo long!

Hello all!  So sorry that I haven't been updating this like I should :(  The 2012-2013 school year ended and we are about to start the 2013-2014 year!  Summer has flown by- we just ended our first week of summer school!  I was just telling Craig that him and I are going to have to spend a Sunday or two in Fairfield getting my "MONSTER" themed classroom ready!!

An update for both Craig and I- we are in the process of looking for a house to buy!  We think we found one that we will be fixing up the way we like, but it has a HUGE yard and really nice landscaping.  We are just waiting to hear good news back from the bank :)
Our wedding day has been set for June 21, 2014.  My wedding dress is picked out, bridesmaid dresses order, venue booked, DJ ready, and our photographer has been chosen!  Just a few more things we need to do, but we are definitely ahead of schedule!

Mosley is, of course, still my baby.  He has learned a couple of tricks and continues to absolutely love car rides.

Until next time,
Craig, Ashley, & Mosley

Updates

Hello all-

It has, again, been awhile since Craig and I last posted.  It is now three days away from the end of the first half of my first year of teaching!  I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by.  Annddd it is now the year 2013!  I still can't seem to get used to writing that on paper.  My students are constantly correcting me.  Oops.
Craig is still very busy with work.  It seems like the winter brings more auctions, which is weird because I thought his job would be slow during the winter.  I was totally wrong!  He worked every single Saturday in December.
Mosley has packed on some winter weight.  We aren't exactly sure how much he weighs, but I am guessing at least 100 pounds.  He has also mastered bird catching.  He caught 4 birds in one day!  He has also been playing guard dog- protecting us from rabbits that have found a home under our barn.  I bet you 80% (if not more) of his day is spent on the front step watching the barn for rabbits to come out.  So silly.

Craig and I had a great Christmas and New Years!  I hope the same goes for you.
Until next time,
Craig, Ashley, Mosley

It's been a loooonnngggg time!

Hello followers- very sorry that our blog hasn't been updated in over two months!  I am usually the one to update it and I've been, well lets just say, busy.  I am well into the second quarter of my first year of teaching, volleyball season has ended, and I am still taking a class to earn my reading endorsement.  I also have a classroom blog that I tend to update a LOT more often than this one. Oops.
Mosley is over 1 year old now- whoa!  Craig and I have been debating whether or not to get him an early Christmas present... a new friend!  (meaning we might get another dog)  We want him to have a friend because we have been very busy lately and sometimes don't get to play with him as much.  He needs a buddy to play with!
Craig is busy with the auctions.  He has been leaving quite early every morning it seems like.  They almost have a sale a day!  I can't believe it.  He loves it, though!
We are traveling to Woodstock, IL this weekend to celebrate the coming of a my cousin Heather's baby.  I cannot wait to see everyone- it has been forever since I have seen family :(

Well.. I should probably get ready to start my day @ school.  I should probably also mention that... CRAIG AND I ARE ENGAGED!!  yay :) We couldn't be more happy together!

ta ta for now!

Flynn/ Hoyer Happenings

Well, it has been quite a while since we wrote our last post.  Sorry!  For me, I have been super busy getting my classroom ready and preparing for the first day of school.  My family also came to visit us here in Houghton.  Craig also had many late nights at work and a few sales!

School has started and I couldn't love it more!  I have 25 students in my class and so far everything has been going pretty well.  On Monday, we will start full days of school.  I am excited to get into the full days, so I can get a better feel for how my planning will go.
Craig worked at a sale today and got to sell for about 3 hours!  I was bummed that I couldn't be there to watch.  Hopefully now that I don't have to work on weekends I can go to more of Sullivan's auctions.
Mosley is, of course, the best.  He is spending all of his time outside and is getting a lot of exercise running around and chasing birds :)  He will be 11 months old on the 30th!

We are looking forward to Labor Day weekend in Illinois!  Mosley will be making the trip with us.  On Sept. 1, we are going to the Hawkeye game at Soldier Field.  Cannot wait to see a Hawkeye game, it has been too long!

Look mom, no hands!

Craig and I just spent close to a week at the Lake of the Ozarks.  We spent the week with Craig's family and also my family.  We had a great time soaking up the sun, boating, skiing, dancing, and playing board games.

Around the same time we went to the lake, Craig and I were both able to visit friends from college.  I think we both decided we need to meet up with them on a more frequent basis, or at least as much as we can!  We always manage to have the best times with them!
Craig is back to work and very busy!  I am starting to lesson plan and set up my classroom.  My mom is coming this week to help and my grandparents will be here this weekend to deliver bookshelves they built for my room!  We plan on having a cook out on Sunday.
Oh and Mosley is 11 months old now!  We can't wait to celebrate his 1 yr b-day!!

4th of July Weekend

Craig and I spent the 4th of July weekend with my family in Pardeeville, Wisconsin.  We stayed in my grandparent's camper at a Pride of America campsite.  It was a really nice place to go camping!  They have a lake to swim in, a pool area, and a restaurant all on site!  While we were camping, we managed to entertain ourselves with several different activities.  We swam in the lake and the pool, rode bikes and golf carts, had a bags tournament (which my partner and I won, winning us $35 each), and even sang karaoke!  It was a wonderful time with family and family friends.
Pictures from our trip to come in a couple of days! We're having trouble getting them uploaded :(
Our next 'adventure' will take place at the Lake of the Ozarks!  This is an annual Hoyer family vacation and I am so happy to be apart of it!  My parents will even be joining us this year!
